Grasshopper

" "

I was de-carbing Crème de Menthe and Crème de Cacao, so of course I had to try a classic Grasshopper. It’s a great option for holiday celebrations! The taste of this Grasshopper is appealingly light, not cloyingly sweet like the original. I found it perky and refreshing, and I hope you do, too.  Food pairing: Double Chocolate Chip Cookies from Headbanger’s Kitchen.

Spiked Iced Coffee

Spiked Iced Coffee

Here’s a boozy alternative to your run-of-the-mill iced coffee. It’s gorgeous and refreshing…and the cream ups the fat ante for you Keto folks. This would be a great brunch drink in lieu of your standard Bloody Mary. If you prefer, you can swap out the spiced rum for the aged rum of your choice, or even a Gold. Bushwacker

Bushwacker

A few years back, I visited Nashville for a work conference. I was lucky enough to have my husband join me, and in the evenings, we would go out on the town for hot chicken and barbecue and Bushwackers. Oh, and sloe gin isn't exactly gin. It's more of a liqueur made by soaking sloe berries in gin or vodka. The tart berry flavor goes wonderfully with the fizzy, festive prosecco, and it's low-carb to boot. Food pairing: All Day I Dream About Food's…

Vampire’s Kiss

Vampire's Kiss

I still can't get over Halloween, so I'm going to keep posting my spooky drinks. This one uses my delicious Blackberry Liqueur and grenadine, and between those two ingredients and the cranberry juice, it's a luscious red color. It's also nice and tart, which I appreciate. If you feel like serving it for a fall feast, I won't quibble. I'll just keep the Halloween flow going a little longer. Food pairing: All Day I…

Gin Bramble

Gin Bramble

This is a great late-summer or early-fall cocktail using gin, one of my favorite types of liquor. It also uses my beloved low-carb Créme de Mûre Blackberry Liqueur, which is very easy to make and really cuts down on the carb count. It's delicious, low-carb, AND decorative, so what could be better? Food pairing: Keto Crab Cakes from All Day I Dream About Food
